Big Give #ChristmasChallenge 2026 – Match Funding Campaign – December
Date: 1st – 8th December
We are excited to be taking part in the Big Give #ChristmasChallenge again this year!
The #ChristmasChallenge is a match funded campaign which gives you the chance for your donation to make twice the difference to local young people’s mental health.
Our 2025 campaign raised over £43,000 and funded the delivery of over 800 free, confidential counselling sessions for local young people. This would possible thanks to our local community pledgers; Francis Construction, Fink Street Food, Fox Payne Associates , Green Girls Foundation and John Allen Trust, and KBN Accountants for providing £14,000 of match funds alongside a further £7,000 from our Champion Pledger, Shanly Foundation.
We received donations totaling £21,050 from over 40 supporters, including those who raised funds for us on #BePurpleDay, entry fees from our Santa Runners and various other fundraising events.
As look towards this years challenge, we would like to invite you to join us a pledger or a supporter and get involved in making twice a difference to local young people’s mental health!
Find out more about this year’s challenge here!
Ongoing ways to support us throughout the year:
You don’t have to take part in a fundraising event to support us, check out the list below for ways you can support us in your day-to-day life – including raising funds at no cost to you!
Give As You Live Online
Love shopping online and want to support us? Register for free at Give as You Live, shop via your high street retailer links, and we’ll receive a donation at no cost to you!
Reading Community Lottery
Buy tickets and choose No5 as your local charity in the Reading Community Lottery. There is a draw every Saturday night. Tickets cost £1 per week.
The important bit! From every £1 ticket sold as your chosen cause, No5 will receive 50p of the 60p (the remaining 10p will be distributed to other local good causes). To put this in perspective when you play the National Lottery 25% goes to good causes – so this is more than double the ticket percentage to good causes.
Every ticket has a 1 in 50 chance of winning a prize. Each ticket has six numbers and each number is between 0 and 9. Every Saturday night draw a six-digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2 to 6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all six and you win the jackpot of £25K!
