How can I make the most of my counselling sessions?

Here are some suggestions from our clinical team, remember that everyone’s counselling experiences are unique so these may not all work for you:

  • Be open and honest
  • Talk about what’s most important to  you.
  • You may want to keep notes/journal your experience
  • Be consistent in attendance
  • Let your therapist know what you need/tell them if you feel any frustration with them or the work you’re doing together.
  • Be collaborative in your relationship with your therapist
